upcycled buttons

I absolutely love buttons an dhad a giant glass jar full of them for christmas off Rhodri and it was proob my fav xmas prezzie ever. I used to make jewelllery out of buttons ages ago but stopped when I started working on my tiaras. Seeing all my pretty buttons in a jar going unseen by others made me realsie I should start using them again so yesterday I made a few rings out of them and silver plated wire I had left over from my last set of tiaras. hope these rings make you smile.
It took 53 buttons to make 23 rings

Fish for the kitties

Ive been busy making felt fish for Daisy and her lil men. They are growing so fast

More Indian Paintings

Here are some earings I made, I am selling them for £1 a pair.
I want to raise £2000 so that when im in better health I can go abroad to Thailand and work in an orphanage for a month or two (or 3).
But until I am well and fit enough to go back to work
it will just have to be a dream, but at least its a goal for when I do get better and working.

Days out and kittens

Hey everyone, so sorry I havnt been on here in ages but we have been moving rooms around in the house, busy with hospital apps and some days with my depression im too busy crying all day to even think about picking up my laptop. Rhodri (my darling boyfriend) took me to the beach the other week, he thought it would be nice to get me out of the house for a few hours. we had a lovely time and im very glad that I wore shorts under my dress as it was very windy.

I had a good day about a week ago, and bought some felt fabric and made some toys for Daisy (my beautiful cat). I love Daisy to bits, shes only got about a week to go until she has her kittens. Im so excited.
When people come to our house they dont realise shes pregant and they say "but she so tiny she cant be"; but to me shes looks huge because im used to seeing her looking extra small. She stopped growing when she was about 7months old, our old neighbours had a four month old kitten that was over twice the size of Daisy.
Her nipples are so big that they look like party cocktail sausages.lol

on the pic above is one of the goldfish toys I made her, she loves it to bits, its so scruffy now where she constantly plays with it.

As im writing this my lovely niece Mia has fallen asleep, shes so adorable. She loves Daisy but Daisy doesnt feel the same way back, she hides when Mia stays over my house.

refugee action

http://www.everyclick.com/refugeeaction

Hi guys,
did any of you see secret millionaire last night?
I was in tears watching it. Today I looked at the refugee-action website to sign up to volunteer at a shelter near me, but there wasnt any in wales; but I found a link (the one above), where you sign up for free and use the search engine on there instead of your usual like google or yahoo etc and everytime you click on one of the links it finds, the charity gets money and it doenst cost you a penny , so you can still help others even if you are struggling yourselves. you can also chnage to another chairty if you wish.
please show your support and help others, until people help and the government start acting quicker with peoples cases, the longer they are on the streets. they just want the chance of a better life. as soon as the government approve their case and let them work so that they can pay tax and help the economy. they are not asking for a free ride, just for a chance to live safely.

Portraits for you

From next mon onward I will be free to take on any commission work. A3 pencil portraits are £20 each (special offer) and if you buy 5 you get 1 free. Believe it or not, now is a good time ready to order for this christmas as I get really busy towards the end of the year.
Some people I have done work for in the past have opften said that they wished they had more cash around christmas time, as once people had seen what I had created for them, they liked it so much and other people had commented on my work, that they wished they had asked me to do more portraits for them to give to other people. .....So now what a few people tend to do it as soon as they have spare cash they pay me in advance....they could give me £100 whenever they have it spare, then they can order their 5 pics plus the one free anytime later in the year when they need it so they dont have to worry about finding the money at the time. sort of like when you save up and pay every week ready for those christmas hampers, only you can cliam your hamper (or in this case , a portrait) anytime, you dont have to wait until christmas.

Portraits make lovely gifts for anniversaries, birthdays, valentines, christmas ,mothers day, fathers day or just an everyday gift to make someone smile or let them know that you love them.

Why not treat yourself and get a new piece of art for your own home or office. It doesnt have to be a picture of a family member, it could be one of your favourite celebrity or even your pet.

email me with any questions novak_designs@yahoo.co.uk and put portriat as your subject heading

Knitting

Ive been busy busy busy knitting again lately.
Started off knitting toys for Suzies ferrets, then made some more for my friend Becis animals.
My friend Andys housemate has a stunning grey cat named CC so I knitted some toy mice for him, then did the same for my friend Benjis cats. My cat Daisy keeps hiding the ones that Ive made for her, and I cant find them anywhere around the house so looks like I will be busy doing more for her over the weekend.

Ive also started knitting scraves ready to hand out to homeless people in the winter, I know winter is ages away but I wnat to give myself time to do lots. I dont see any homeless people where I live, but theres always loads in Cardiff, ive out together a list of items that id like to collect over the summer so that I can give the homeless little christmas gift bags, but being so poor as im not working due to ill helath it means I cant buy as many things as id like so im going to raffle off a piec eof my artwork and use the raffle money to help me buy what I need for them.
